A total of 9720 vacancies for the posts of constable and SI police have been released by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board. West Bengal Constable Recruitment 2021: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Constable: The candidate must have passed Madhyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent.
SI of Police: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or its equivalent.
The applicant must be able to read, write, and speak in the Bengali Language.
Age Limit (as on 01/01/2021)
Constable: The candidate should not be of less than 18 years and not more than 27 years of age.
SI of Police: The candidate should not be of less than 20 years and not more than 27 years of age.
- The upper age limit relaxation for SC and ST: 05 years
- The upper age limit relaxation for OBC: 03 years
- NVF, Home Guard personnel serving in West Bengal are also eligible for upper age relaxation
